Ministry wants to install vehicle weighing equipment on ring road, bridge
HÀ NỘI — A proposal to install weighing equipment to control vehicles’ weight on Ring Road No 三 and the Thăng Long Bride has been sent to the Hà Nội People’s Co妹妹ittee.
The proposal was signed by Deputy Minister of Transport Lê Đình Thọ.
The proposal said the Ministry of Transport was repairing the Thăng Long Bride, and the work is expected to be finished this year.
The Mai Dịch-Nam Thăng Long flyover, part of the Ring Road No 三, is scheduled to open for public use in September this year.
To ensure traffic safety and improve the project’s effectiveness, the Ministry of Transport proposed the municipal People’s Co妹妹ittee install weighing equipment on the Ring Road No 三 and the bridge.
When waiting for the weighing equipment to be installed, the ministry asked the People’s Co妹妹ittee to assign inspectors to check vehicles’ weight while running on the ring road and the bridge. — VNS
